The Arizona Wildcats went 0-for-October, and Saturday’s 31-26 home loss to West Virginia was more of the same.
*Hey, PHNX editors, can I just change the names from last week’s column, in which I called Arizona “bad, boring and basic?”
To be fair, the Wildcats showed a bit more grit and fight against the Mountaineers than in previous lopsided losses, scoring the final 13 points of the game but not getting the ensuing defensive stop they needed. West Virginia ran the final 4:35 off the clock, and that was that. Four consecutive losses for Brent Brennan’s team.
Sigh.
While the Wildcats finally showed some spark in the fourth quarter, there was no reason to lose this game to an underdog travelin...
