JP Scearce, Ryan Flood Lift Phoenix Rising to Home Victory

It took some time, but Phoenix Rising has finally won a game at home again.

A header from JP Scearce in the second half and Ryan Flood’s long distance strike were enough to lift Rising to victory over Monterey Bay, while also moving the team above the playoff line for the first time under Pa-Modou Kah.

Plus, at the other end, Patrick Rakovsky kept the team’s first clean sheet of the year without facing a single shot on target.

Now with a weekend off, can Rising build off their back-to-back victories to get some momentum going?
