Between the Los Angeles Dodgers, Anaheim Angels, Houston Astros and Texas Rangers, Johnson had every opportunity to make life changing money.
But the newly minted Arizona Diamondbacks coming off their inaugural season in 1998 were looking to make a big splash and then managing partner Jerry Colangelo.
Well the Diamondbacks were convincing enough and the rest was history! Johnson signed with Arizona and it changed EVERYTHING.
