All Eyes on Arizona-BYU After Wildcats Handle Awful Oklahoma State

The Arizona Wildcats improve to 4-1 on the season after blowing out the Big 12’s worst team in Oklahoma State by a score of 41-13.

The Cats did their part in front of NFL legend and honorary captain, Rob Gronkowski, just one night after he crashed Arizona Basketball’s Red-Blue Showcase with Shaquille O’Neal.

Danny Gonzales and his defense dominated like they have all season long, not surrendering a defensive touchdown for the THIRD time in FIVE games this season.

Noah Fifita and his infinity gauntlet of wide receivers had themselves a day through the air, totaling 400+ yards passing in this one. Kansas State transfer Tre Spivey continues his breakout campaign with a couple of early touchdown catches supplemented by an ANGRY RUN and a lot of YAC ability. New Mexico transfer Luke Wysong led the team in receiving yards and caught his first Arizona touchdown in the process.

While Seth Doege’s offense may have figured out the passing attack, RB Ismail Mahdi and the ground game took a step back for the first time all season.

On the other side, the Cowboys drop to 1-4, with interim coach Matthew McConaughey– I mean, Doug Meacham still looking for his first win at the helm. The program is in utter disarray post-Mike Gundy’s dismissal (and even before) and figures to only get worse by the year’s end.

Despite the win Arizona still has plenty of room for growth ahead of a ranked matchup against #23 BYU. Do the Wildcats have what it takes to upset the undefeated Cougars next Saturday?
