The Phoenix Suns were without Grayson Allen, Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks, Jordan Goodwin and Haywood Highsmith Sunday and did not have nearly enough firepower to keep up with the Portland Trail Blazers, losing 92-77.
Suns struggle, score 77 points in loss to Trail Blazers
The Suns shot an icy 36.9% from the field and an icier 25.7% from 3-point range, and couldn’t overcome their shooting woes. Collin Gillespie found his rhythm in the fourth quarter but it was far too late as his team-high 18 points weren’t nearly enough.
Jalen Green continued to struggle as he went 6-of-16 from the field, bringing him to 12-of-42 over his last two outings.
It’s not the end of the world for Phoenix, which falls to 33-25 with the loss, but PHNX Suns postgame is here to break down what’s next as things seem very bleak in the moment. Follow the show: @PHNX_Suns, @ErikRuby, @GilMcGregor_, @Espo and @StephenPG3!
