The Phoenix Suns escaped disaster by earning a 112-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night to move to 44-36 on the season, securing the seventh seed in the process.

Suns secure 7th seed with win over Flagg, Mavs

The Suns held off late runs from the tanking Mavs and earned the win thanks in large part to 37 points from Devin Booker and 28 points from Dillon Brooks.

The win did not come easily, however, as Dallas made things much more difficult than they needed to be for Phoenix. In the process, the Suns also lost Jordan Goodwin to an ankle injury while Jalen Green left early with a knee injury.

Still, the team escaped with a win on the second end of a back-to-back and have their spot in the Play-In Tournament secured.
