The Phoenix Suns didn’t quit, but their late efforts weren’t enough as they suffered a 120-107 defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 of the opening round.

Suns’ late fight not enough in game 2 loss to thunder

OKC now has a 2-0 series lead over Phoenix as the series is set to shift to The Valley for Games 3 and 4.

Despite trailing by as many as 26 points, the Suns continued to battle thanks to the fight of Dillon Brooks. Brooks’ fire allowed Phoenix to cut the deficit to 10 points, but it couldn’t fully come back. Brooks finished the game with 30 points, second only to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 37 points in the game.
