The Phoenix Suns have exercised the contract options of recent first round picks, Khaman Maluach and Ryan Dunn.

Suns Excersise contract options on Maluach, Dunn

What does this mean for their future with the team and the role we can expect them to play in this upcoming season?

The Suns exceeded expectations last season thanks in large part to boasting a defense that ranked 10th in the NBA. With new pieces in the fold, the Suns will need to find more success in a similar manner, but can they?

At Day 3 of training camp, defense quickly became the topic of discussion and PHNX Suns’ Stephen PridGeon-Garner was on hand to take part.

He’ll discuss what was said and what that could mean for Phoenix’s aspirations to become even better on the defensive end this season.

Join Stephen, Gil and Aryton as they discuss all things defense as well as some social media fodder that has fed our appetite for Suns basketball. Follow the show: @PHNX_Suns, @GilMcGregor_, @StephenPG3 and @FreckledMamba!
