The Arizona Wildcats were outclassed by UCLA at times in their season opener despite a great push at the end to make it respectable. Ivan Kharchenkov looked like a star but Caleb Holt and Motiejus Krivas showed room for improvement. Derek Dixon woke up his shot late, JJ Mandaquit showed potential of what he can do but also shot 1-5 from three. The Wildcats bench unit overall showed nearly nothing from a production standpoint.

Arizona vs ucla takeaways

But the bright side? It’s only game one and the Cats have time to gel and figure things out.
