Brutal. Just brutal.
How any player can make that 5 year retirement requirement in the NHL is beyond me.
Thank you for the update. Great work.

Any chance the Yotes will add some more previously drafted —but still unsigned — players as their college seasons are ending?

We don’t know about Nathan Smith yet, but what about Harvard center John Farinacci? He just finished his second season after missing ‘20-21 when the Ivy League cancelled all sports because of covid. Since Farinacci’s uncle is the head coach at Harvard, is he more likely to stay there for another season and maybe graduate?

You’d think this would be a good time for Farinacci to sign and get into the Yotes organization before the next wave gets drafted in June?

Adding more college players is a definite possibility. As for Farinacci, he is still mulling that decision.
He has only played two years of college hockey due to COVID cancelling last season’s Ivy League season. There is some belief within the organization and at Harvard that he could be one of the best players in college hockey if he returns for a third season. That sort of confidence and success can really help a prospect.

Love to see Boko get a chance to fill a 4th line role with the Coyotes. Don’t know whether he kills penalties with the Roadrunners though…

Me, too. It would be a nice reward.

MGL requires payment or I’d look there but are injuries on the whole up this year across the league? Based on the stop/start over the last 2 years could see more general injuries up (sprains/pulls) as there was less direct interaction between training and medical staff and players across organizations.
