Knowing nothing (haven’t read the scouting reports you linked to yet) about any of the prospects…I’m gonna root for picking David Jiříček. Just keep increasing the Czech Connection.

Haha! He’s certainly a possibility.

Tempting to just pick whatever Center we can get… time for these new scouts to show us what they can do.

Yep, time for them to earn their pay.

In your podcast interview with Craig Button, he compared Logan Cooley to Nicklas Backstrom. I could live with that with a 2, 3 or 4 pick.

This is the first real test for Armstrong and co. Coyotes have missed consistently with top picks outside of Keller and Chychrun in many of the years past. I’m hopeful for Hayton now that he has an actual off-season.

Whoever is drafted let’s hope we let them sit in Jr/AHL until they are beyond ready. Seeing 8-9 players this season who either should have been in the AHL or were just out of college in that environment can’t be the best for team or player.

You are absolutely right. This is where all of that investment in the scouting staff will be put to the test.

Not sure Cooley fits the BA profile.

Next year’s draft seems much stronger, but I still feel the need to panic Craig. It’s the Coyotes.

You do you.

Outside of Center, where else do we need to pick? Is our goalie pipeline strong enough to deliver a #1 and solid 2 in 3-4 years when we will be competitive?

In addition to center, I think they need help on D and in goal.

I like Cooley better than Wright and Gauthier was impressive at the U18 tournament. I’d love to get twins Hugo and Matias Havelid at 31 and 32, if we on fact hat back to back picks. Havelid was the best goalie by far on the U18s and the Twin ESP between he and his defensenan brother is remarkable to watch. I’m partial to twins…I married one, however the Sedins did well.
I agree that this year will depend more on development than skill. I’d like to 3 next year if we can’t get number one.

Next year projects, right now, as a better draft.

GMBA mentioned that “when he returns from his out of town meetings, he should be set up in his office”
Are they building new offices at this location?
I was wondering with the limited space where would all the front office folks be located?
Or in the military vernacular “ where will the flagpole be located?”

They are moving their team offices to Scottsdale.
