Phoenix Rising claims nine points in eight day stretch

Phoenix Rising FC caps off a marquee week in style.

It started with a 3-2, twice come-from-behind victory over Las Vegas Lights at Cashman Field.

Then, they came back home to 38th Street and Washington to face off against top-of-the-West Sacramento Republic, seeing them off 2-1.

The cherry on top? A Saturday night home win over RGV, a side Rising failed to claim points against just two weeks ago.

It all started with a Danny Trejo wonderstrike with less than a minute on the clock. A perfect assist from Mo Traore helped Manuel Arteaga double the hosts’ advantage later in the first half.

From there, the defense held firm, and Rising succeeded in walking away with a third straight victory.
