ASU puts Wildcats out of their misery in Brennan’s first season

On a bright, beautiful Saturday afternoon, the sun finally set on the darkest of seasons for the Arizona Wildcats football team.
Arizona State took care of all rivalry business – think Michael Corleone during the baptism scene of The Godfather – taking out the Wildcats 49-7 at Arizona Stadium, ending Brent Brennan’s first season not with a whimper but with howls of outrage from the Arizona faithful.
Out of the multiple miscalculations that resulted in a 4-8 season that began with the Wildcats ranked No. 21 in the AP poll, there was this scene with about five minutes left in the third quarter against the Sun Devils.
