As I begin the final Coyotes mailbag of 2023, I find myself in a pensive mood. Maybe it's the steady creep of age. Maybe it's the fact that my first child is now in college and no longer a full-time resident under my roof. Maybe it's the fact that my Hall of Fame-worthy dog, Sophie, just turned 17.

Time keeps on ticking.

The holidays offer a much-needed pause to focus on family and friends while reflecting on another year in the books. What I don't think we do enough of is remember those who are no longer with us.
