Easter is the most interesting of all the holidays, especially for non-believers.
I’m a conservative who came from a family of conservatives ( on 90% of the issues) but of skeptics.
I can remember my dad reading the paper as my sister was walking out of the house telling us all, “ Im going up to the Free Methodist church to be saved”!
My dad just slightly lowering the paper replied “ Yeah, saved from doing the dishes”
I later read the most interesting books about the New Testament by a bible historian named Bart D Ehrman.
The most interesting historical study ( except maybe the civil war) I ever studied.
The conflicting accounts, what went on 3 days after the crucifiction, the fear of the discount they’re lives in the camps and the benefits of being a disciple being lost with the death of Jesus so accounts of the resurrection were put into motion so that the disciples could keep their jobs, then the death of Paul
And with that the realization that the Thessalonians 1 could not historically come true, Thessalonians 2 written saying “ no, no what you read in 1 wasn’t accurate ( of course 2 being known now to be a forgery, but still in the text)
All that stuff was fascinating and not a day goes by I don’t read something or watch something on YouTube by Ehrman.
As to the Coyotes, I just can’t believe the Keystone Cop quality of their existence.
I saw all the Ranger fans throwing their hats on the ice after Lafrienisres hat trick.
Infuriated me.
Afterwords no doubt they all went home to Mesa.
I was told for years, “if stuff like that bothers you, don’t go to the games”
The wimps were right.
I hope winning changes things. I’m still a season ticket holder.
I signed up for a race in Springville Indiana on June 15th even though there undoubtedly will be people there who knew me when I was good.
I will look pathetic out there but I am very much looking forward to wearing my Arizona flag singlet and cooling down after the race wearing my Lawson Crouse signed, game worn “ off their back” jersey after I make a fool of myself struggling through the race.

AuthorGood for you for sticking with it. It is obviously one of your passions.
