Would love to see Lawson take over as captain for this group. Hope he ends up a forever Yote.

This really makes alot of sense. Keller has a permanent A this season so I wonder if he’s technically ahead in the queue if were talking full time captain among the younger players. Of course Chychrun staying long term alters that as well. But Crouse checks every single box you want for a Captain.

Chychrun, Crouse, and Keller is a leadership group moving forward I’d be very proud to have for our team.

I have been a LC67 for captain fan since last year when OEL was considered gone. Many think Chych is the guy but I have a feeling that all the added responsibility of a captain is more suited to The Sheriff. Chych should have the A along with Keller.

Truly gutted for Angry Larry that his injury could prevent him from getting traded to a contender. He’s a perfect playoff player and with the offense he showed this season and his ability to play with more skilled players (Crouse and Kessel), I really think he could have netted the Coyotes a great return. Hopefully he heals up, still gets moved, wins a cup and resigns with the Yotes in the offseason.

Given how teams love to overpay (even in a buyer’s market), I’m surprised Armstrong is having a hard time getting a second rounder for Kessel. Is he mercurial? Yes. Is he tough to coach? Yes. But would I want him for a deep playoff run? Absolutely.

Of the guys not mentioned Craig, I would think most of them are self-explanatory. The only two I was wondering about are Galchenyuk and Hayton.

I think Gally might be an attractive depth piece, especially since he’s been playing better, and I think our head coach really likes Hayton from Canada’s junior championship team and is patient enough to wait him to stay healthy and reach his full potential in a non-pressure environment.

I wouldn’t trade Chychrun unless the other team knocked my socks off. A Spencer Knight, Owen Tippett type package. Nothing less.
