The Phoenix Suns didn’t have quite enough to complete their comeback as they opened their six-game road trip with a 127-121 loss to the Miami Heat.
Phoenix trailed by as many as 20 points early in the second half but clawed back to regain a late lead before Miami pulled away.
Suns’ comeback effort comes up short vs. Heat
Bam Adebayo propelled the Heat’s win with 29 points on 73.6% shooting, including 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Devin Booker did all he could for the Suns, overcoming 6-of-19 shooting to finish with 24 points, nine rebounds and nine assists while Grayson Allen scored a team-high-tying 25 points thanks in large part to his six triples.
Booker also overcame an ankle injury to gut out his performance while Dillon Brooks also scored 25 points, though he picked up his 15th technical foul of the season and fouled out in the process. The loss snaps Phoenix’s three-game win streak and drops the team to 24-16 on the season before it heads to Detroit for Stop 2 on the six-game trip.
