NHL dreaming: A 40-team league in perfect realignment

The NHL has plenty of issues, but whenever it contemplates expansion or realignment, at least it won't have to worry about the brand of hypocrisy inherent in modern-day college sports. 
While university presidents mouth the importance of the student-athlete experience, their realignment actions belie their words. To recap, Big Ten games will now include Washington playing at Rutgers. Big 12 games will include ASU playing Central Florida in Orlando. And ACC games could include Stanford playing at Miami.
