It wasn’t Phoenix Rising’s best showing in El Paso, but it wasn’t their worst either.

After falling 2-1 behind, Rising came back to equalize courtesy of a Charlie Dennis free kick tapped in by Darius Johnson.

Then, Phoenix won the subsequent shootout to get the extra point against El Paso Locomotive, with 15-year-old Tony Capetillo making his penalty on debut, but it likely won’t be enough to advance to the next round of the Jägermeister Cup.

Now, Pa-Modoou Kah’s side is taking a four-day mental health break as they wait for Orange County next week.
