Phoenix Rising shuts out Miami FC 2-0

Phoenix Rising came out with a strong starting 11 against Miami FC and it showed early on.

Capitalizing on poor Miami passing out of the back, Federico Varela opened the scoring with a chipped effort over the opposition keeper in the 36th minute.

The first half scoring continued as Edgardo Rito opened his account in the 43rd minute.

Rising’s defense held the rest of the way with Rocco Rios Novo keeping his kit relatively clean.
