When Paul Sewald toed the rubber in his first Diamondbacks save opportunity on Sunday, it took all of one pitch for him to blow the save.

Eight pitches later, Sewald began a slow stroll to the visiting dugout at Target Field as Minnesota Twins rookie Matt Wallner launched the second Twins homer of the inning.

It was not the first impression that Sewald was hoping to make.

"Sunday was obviously the worst possible scenario I could dream up in my first save appearance for the Diamondbacks," he told reporters before Tuesday's game.
