The Phoenix Suns held off a scrappy Brooklyn Nets team to snap a two-game skid with a 106-102 win. Things got chippy at the end, but it was a late 10-2 run that allowed the Suns to overcome a deficit to move to 28-19 on the season.

Suns win chippy showdown against Nets

Without Devin Booker, Collin Gillespie, Jalen Green and Isaiah Livers, the Suns enjoyed a season-high 27 points from Mark Williams, while Dillon Brooks scored 26 points and Grayson Allen added a number of clutch buckets en route to 18 points on the night.

The Nets were paced by 36 points from Michael Porter Jr. while rookie guard Egor Dëmin added 15 points.

Phoenix won the scrappy contest despite shooting 5 of 20 from 3-point range and it maintains its pace among the top half of the Western Conference. The Suns now look to get healthier as they welcome two of the East’s best teams to close January.
