The Phoenix Suns closed out a three-game homestand with an impressive 111-99 win over the Charlotte Hornets in front of a national audience.
Suns dominate hornets in primetime showdown
Devin Booker led the way with 30 points and 10 assists, while Jalen Green and Collin Gillespie each scored 24 points and Rasheer Fleming turned in a career-best 16 points off the bench.
In the process, Phoenix held Charlotte its first road loss since Jan. 17. The Suns’ defense held the Hornets’ red-hot offense to just 99 points, as Rookie of the Year hopeful Kon Knueppel scored just 15 points on 4-of-11 shooting while Brandon Miller was held to 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting.
Phoenix holds serve in the West standings by moving to 37-27 and has officially surpassed last year’s win total.
