Thank you for all the years you’ve written articles about this team.
It was the primary reason I stayed in Arizona after the death of my wife.
As a casual observer in 2012, I couldn’t understand why this team wasn’t the most the most popular team in town.
Then to my utter disbelief I found that this team wasn’t probably wasn’t even in the top 5 favorite NHL teams in town.
I tried to raise the alarm.
7014 in attendance one game, second to last in attendance nearly every year and phony fan web sites telling everyone to “ ignore” the critics.
Not prove they were wrong, come together as a hockey community but “ ignore” the criticism.
This election result wasn’t a surprise at all.
The hockey fans who supported other cities teams and came to only two games a year are to blame for all this.
Only a few brave spoke up.
It may be that fans will have to wear their “ Kaner”
jerseys in front of a TV now.
They may have just lost their cities NHL team.
Thank you Craig, Leah and Petey for all your wonderful hard work….
Now, to call the MVD and find out how to replace my Coyotes license plate with a regular Arizona plate.

I am bitter because it is getting harder and harder to justify staying in Arizona since the foundational reasons I moved here are slowly being negated. One of those reasons was 4 professional sports teams. Now, apparently it is soon to be 3; thank you Tempe 1st.

I hope that Tempe 1st enjoys the tax hike they have heaped on their city because it will be necessary to clean up their beloved garbage dump now that its leaking. That issue is not going away.

I would love for an arena to be built on the tribal lands such that it would cause tons of Tempe traffic, and Javier could just raise his middle finger and say, “You had your chance.” A hopeful dream…

It is just never easy being a Coyotes fan.

Another question that should be asked: why this property? This is public land, which required city/state action to consummate the sale – this is exponentially more difficult than buying private land and just getting zoning changes or variances. Why pursue this strategy for a parcel that was more difficult to acquire from the getgo?

Thank you, Craig. I am still sick to my stomach over this. It really hurts and this feels like the end. I dont think I can get my hopes up again until the prove otherwise and I hate that I am even there with this team but I just cant take it anymore. It hurts too much.

This is wayyyy premature.

But, if the Coyotes move, can we get a patreon/other similar platform funded NHL podcast from you Craig? PHNX Crew if possible, but would also love a Jamie and Luke Natty Hatty reboot.

For real, as much as this sucks as a fan, I really hope something shakes out for your sake, Craig. You’ve been an absolute blessing to this fanbase. Your work is second to none, and I know you’ll be successful in whatever else you may do if it comes to that.

Sadly, I think this is the end for the Coyotes. Truly sucks. As a Roadrunners fan since 1972, my next hope is that the Roadrunners move from Tucson back to Phoenix and play in the Coliseum. At least we would have high-level IHL hockey to watch here again. I know the Coliseum needs work, but IHL-level needed improvements would be less than NHL-level improvements. And the Coliseum is a great place to watch hockey as far as sightlines, etc.

Great analysis as usual Craig. I do agree the team made a lot of errors in their strategy. And then had a feeling it would bite them in the end.
To add insult to injury, in addition to losing our team, which I now think is inevitable. Chalk up another win for lies and misinformation. I just don’t know how we can continue as a society when half does not believe reality. And cannot be convinced. That depresses me the most.
As always thanks for your insight. Whatever happens, you have been a highlight of the Coyotes history. Always remember that.

I guess the only satisfaction of the whole election mess was watching “ the left” eat its own.
Mr. Gutierrez’s constant pandering to these groups really came to nothing.
So much for Diversity and Inclusion.
I’d imagine the chick with the nose ring of Tempe1st would go right along with publishing the names of players who don’t want to participate in “inclusive “ activities that have nothing to do with playing the game.
That the thanks you get Mr. Gutierrez
