Suns' Devin Booker and Mark Williams

The Phoenix Suns are down but not out in their first-round series against the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder, but the task ahead was made tougher when center Mark Williams was ruled out nearly 24 hours before Game 3 tipped off.

Suns down Mark Williams In Game 3, hope To Get Goodwin, Allen Back

Facing a 2-0 series deficit, the Suns are in need of a few changes with the series shifting to Phoenix for Games 3 and 4.

In order to avoid falling into a historically insurmountable series deficit, the Suns must enact quick changes. The next man up mentality rings stronger than it ever has, as Devin Booker & Co. will look to ride the momentum provided by the home crowd in order to make up for what they’ll lack depth-wise.

On the other side of things, the Oklahoma City Thunder were dealt a major blow in the form of a hamstring injury that could hold Jalen Williams out for the remainder of the series.

PHNX Suns is back to gear up for Game 3 and talk through Williams’ extended absence, officiating controversy and what the Suns can do moving forward. Follow the show: @PHNX_Suns, @ErikRuby, @GilMcGregor_, @Espo and @StephenPG3!
