The Phoenix Suns continued their handling of offseason business Wednesday by reaching an agreement with Dillon Brooks on a three-year, $73 million contract extension.

The news comes after Brooks turned in a career year in his ninth season, averaging a career-best 20.2 points over 56 regular season games while Phoenix exceeded expectations to win 45 games.
With Brooks under contract through at least the next four seasons, there is a high level of excitement around what the team is working to build as contenders in the Western Conference.
And while Brooks earned his payday through his play, PHNX Suns addresses questions around how his role will evolve as the team around him does. Has he peaked? What does the most optimal version of Brooks look like?
Beyond the upcoming season, there are also very valid questions around all the Suns will be able to accomplish during the lifetime of Brooks’ deal.
