The Phoenix Suns were never truly in the mix for LeBron James, but now that he has made his decision, they are certainly one of the teams that is feeling the league-wide ripple effects.
Suns Can Take Advantage of West After LeBron Moves East
James’ decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers officially moves him out of the Western Conference for the first time in eight seasons and effectively weakens the group of West teams who had their sights set on adding the 22-time All-Star.
How much weaker has the West become? As Phoenix has looked to make savvy moves capable of moving into another tier of contention, it now has a clearer idea of the challenges presented by its direct competition now that the biggest domino has fallen.
PHNX Suns takes time to discuss what it all means for the team as it looks to improve upon 45 wins and the eighth seed in the playoffs.
Erik and Gil discuss James’ decision, what it means for the league and where everyone is left to go from here.
