For the first time in years there is a fun vibe lurking around Arizona Football. And, this time it doesn’t feel like forced spin. There is actual widespread talent. So let’s dive into the offensive side of the ball and what to watch for.

Quarterback. Quarterback. Quarterback.
This is a much different group than Arizona fans saw at the end of last season. How does Jedd Fisch plan on using Washington State transfer Jayden De Laura?

Last year’s offense consisted of mostly five yard passes, but with De Laura at the helm it figures that this offense will be opened up significantly. How much is the question.

How much pure pocket passing from freshman Noah Fifita? He certainly has a strong arm and can move. Is the offense set up the same way for the 5-10 signal caller as it is for De Laura?

Is Jordan McCloud healthy?
McCloud flashed last season and at the very least figures to be a high level back up.

What do the sparsely used running backs and newcomers look like?

Arizona fans have an idea of what Michael Wiley and Drake Anderson can do but what about sophomore Jalen John and newcomer Jonah Coleman? Both John and Coleman have a bowling ball type running presence that the core unit last year lacked.

Which wide receivers are ready to turn their paper accolades into on field production?

Everyone knows that this is one of the best wide receiver classes in the entire country. On paper it has everything: size, speed and play making. Who is ready to turn that hype to on the field production?

How does the offensive line look in year two?

It’s hard to accurately grade the line last year because the quarterback play was so bad, but there is a belief around the program that the line could be drastically improved due to better surrounding talent. Is this wishful thinking or a realistic possibility?
