What to watch for in the Pac-12 Tournament

Will Arizona continue to roll? The Wildcats are clearly the best team in the conference and have a NCAA tournament number 1 seed locked up. It makes sense for Arizona to go all out and enter the NCAA tournament on a high note.
However, Lute Olson rarely went all out to win the Pac-10 tournament with a number 1 seed already in hand. Which path will Tommy Lloyd take?

Arizona State is the conundrum that is Bobby Hurley. This team is talented but for much of the season looked like one of the worst squads in college basketball. The Sun Devils have length and point guard Marreon Jackson has been better of late. The Sun Devils are playing much better now but can they make a run in Las Vegas?

The Colorado Buffalo are clearly talented as they dished out one of Arizona’s three losses this season. Plus Colorado is long and well coached. This team probably doesn’t have the talent to make a long tournament run but is more than capable of massing an upset or two.

Oregon is as talented as any team in the conference but also the most unreliable; which is odd coming from a Dana Altman coached team. This team is just as capable of getting knocked off in the first round or winning the conference tournament. While still a very talented team, losing point guard and leading scorer Will Richardson obviously is a devastating blow to the Ducks chances

UCLA was the preseason favorite to win the conference yet has struggled for the majority of the season. But if healthy the Bruins can make a significant run in the conference and NCAA tournament. Junior wing Jamie Jaquez is the key for UCLA. If Jaquez and Johnny Juzang are playing at an all – level the Bruins can beat any team in the country. Is UCLA ready to go?

If there was any doubt that Andy Enfield can coach he alleviated those doubts with another 25 plus win season for USC.
Last season the Trojans hit their stride come tournament time. Will this be another example of that? The talent is there.

Utah, Washington State, Oregon State, Stanford and Cal don’t really matter and aren’t capable of much.
