Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia has repeatedly talked about making his team accessible to more fans in the Valley, and he continues to back up that talk.
On Thursday morning, the Suns announced an initiative to make their games even easier for fans to watch. Their previously announced partnership with Arizona’s Family was designed to help Suns and Mercury games reach 2.8 million new households with direct-to-consumer options via over-the-air television and streaming.
Now, the team plans to give away free indoor TV antennas to fans in order to expedite the process. While supplies last, fans without a paid TV subscription like cable, satellite or streaming TV can use this free antenna to watch Suns games on Arizona’s Family 3TV and Arizona’s Family Sports.
Antennas will ship directly to fans for free and can be claimed on the Suns’ website, courtesy of the team and their partnership with Arizona’s Family and Channel Master. These antennas can be mounted indoors on a wall or window, or they can lay flat on a tabletop. Channel Master has offered an instructional video for fans to help install the antenna in their homes:
UPDATE: The free indoor antennas are already gone less than three hours after the news broke, but Arizona residents can still order an outdoor antenna and use the coupon code “Suns” to receive 20 percent off their purchase, which is priced at $149.
Aside from 12 nationally-televised games, the remaining 70 regular-season games and five preseason games will be broadcast on Arizona’s Family.
As for fans with cable subscriptions, according to the FAQ on their website, Cox Cable carries Arizona’s Family Sports in the Phoenix and Flagstaff areas on Channel 13 and in Tucson on Channel 19. Arizona’s Family is currently having discussions with other providers about being picked up as well.
In the Phoenix designated market area, Arizona’s Family 3TV can be found over-the-air on Channel 3, while Arizona’s Family Sports can be found over-the-air on Channel 44. All available Suns games will also air on Channel 3.5.Â
In Flagstaff, Arizona’s Family Sports can be found over-the-air on Channel 32 and all available Suns games will also air on Channel 3.5. In Tucson, Arizona’s Family Sports can be found over-the-air on Channel 13.5, and in Yuma, Arizona’s Family Sports can be found over-the-air on Channel 27.

For out-of-state fans, the Suns will also be live-streaming their games on Kiswe, with more details on subscription packages and pricing to be announced in the coming weeks.
Phoenix announced its complete broadcast schedule for the upcoming season, with Kevin Ray, Eddie Johnson, Ann Meyers Drysdale all set to return for in-game broadcasts. Tom Chambers and Tom Leander are back as well for pregame and postgame shows, while Mercury forward Sophie Cunningham will return as a guest analyst for select broadcasts.
With the legendary Al McCoy retiring after more than 50 years on the call, the esteemed Jon Bloom will take over as the new radio voice of the Phoenix Suns.
